Booking & Policies

  • Please use "Contact & Bookings" on the website.  You are also very welcome to contact us directly at info@umbachleadership.com.  We are happy to answer your questions, as well.

  • A 50% Reservation Deposit is required when the reservation is made, and the remaining full payment is required within 10 days of the reservation start date.  Full payment is also accepted at the time you make your reservation, if preferred.  A Security Deposit is collected at time of full payment.  If you must cancel and/or reschedule your dates, you may do so up to 30 days in advance of the first day of your reservation without consequence.  However, cancellations or reductions in reserved days made less than 30 days in advance will result in no refund or credits to the Reservation Deposit, and/or full payment if previously made.  Your Security Deposit will be returned expediently if your reservation is cancelled.  For documentation purposes, date changes or cancellations must be made and acknowledged in writing (only via email, not text).

  • Minimum stay is 5 nights for first time visitors.  If you have stayed with us before, we accept 3 night stays. 

  • 3 pm checkin, 11 am check out.  We can usually accommodate times that work for you, so do let us know if you would like to checkin/checkout at different times.

  • We have a list of checkout procedures provided to you at checkin.  We have worked to minimize this list as much as possible.

  • Yes.  Our experience has led us to take the “true cost” approach to cleaning (different than Airbnb or VRBO).  You will be charged for the actual amount that the cleaning crew charges, including travel time, which all cleaning crews in McCall now incorporate in their fees.  You will not be charged for cleaning above and beyond your use.  Cleaning fees range from $350 to $375 for a regular clean.  The fee is more expensive if more extensive cleaning is required.

  • We love pets, but we unfortunately can not accommodate renters' pets.

  • We are a strict non smoking property, inside and out.

  • We do not allow RVs or trailers.  If there is temporary need for RV or trailer parking, please discuss with us.  There are options in town and nearby open lots on Warren Wagon Road.

Cabin Details & Amenities

  • We have fully equipped chef kitchen, and provide all linen needs including beach towels.  Please see amenities page.  There are many!

  • No, a boat is not included with your stay. However, the property does have a private dock with space available if you’d like to bring your own boat. It’s the perfect launch point for exploring Payette Lake on your own terms. Talk to us at booking so we can strategize docking.

  • Yes.  We have family and guests who very much appreciate fast WIFI.  It is strong inside the house, outside on terrace and on the beach.  Cell service is also strong, with Verizon and AT&T getting the best service.

  • 6 people.  Please talk to us in advance if you have need for small overage.  We also have rules around visiting day guests.  Maximum number of people on the property is 10, including yourselves.

    Hosting a bigger group? You can also rent our sister property, The Back Cabin, just steps away — it sleeps 7 and pairs perfectly with The Front Cabin for larger gatherings.

  • If you’re planning a larger gathering or need additional room, we also offer a second rental just steps away called The Back Cabin. It sleeps 7 and pairs beautifully with The Front Cabin for families or groups who want to stay close together while enjoying a bit more space and privacy.

  • In summer we strongly advise bringing good solid flip flops for walking on the terrace and beach.  In winter, we suggest boots with good gripping soles and comfortable slippers for inside. 

    If you area fan of Nespresso, bring your pods! We have a Nespresso machine.

Lake Life & Seasonal Notes

  • Yes.  Private docks on Payette Lake associated with luxury rentals are extremely rare, and we are pleased to offer this.  If you plan to bring a boat or rent a boat, you may dock on our dock only during your stay.  Please communicate with us about this as soon as you know you will want this amenity.  We can help you prepare, plan for the trailer storage, rental service, etc.   You can also bring your own paddleboards, kayaks, to use from our beach to use in addition to the ones we offer.

  • So many!  McCall is a recreational dream both in winter and summer.  The amenities shows you the self propelled vessels we provide, winter gear, as well as beach and board games.  For recreational activities, we suggest you peruse the McCall visitor guides to give you ideas of the many many recreational and in town activities:

  • Snow or all season tires are strongly strongly recommended.  4WD is not necessary, but it doesn't hurt.
